As we said last week, “Broken City” is one of the many 2013 movies that The Audio Dope is real chubbed about. The crime/thriller film stars Russell Crowe, Mark Wahlberg, and CATHERINNNE ZETTTA-JONESS. “Broken City” is thriller directed by Allen Hughes revolving around an ex-cop (Wahlberg) trailing the wife of New York City’s mayor (Crowe) that finds himself immersed in a larger scandal.
By the looks of the trailer, “Broken City” is going to be DOPE. For some reason, the film reminds me of the 2009 film “State of Play” also starring Russell Crowe. Both films have similar release dates and an awesome mysteryish/subtleness to the story. The Audio Dope feels “Broken City” has a chance to be a real stand-out film with some fantastic performances from Crowe and Wahlberg specifically. Check the trailer and poster below.
